2020 - Worst Year Ever!

I've completely redesigned the entire Graveyards of Omaha website over the past few months; it seemed a good time to this, during quarantine. The pages should work seamlessly with mobile devices, laptops, and PC's. I hope. :-) The site will be firmly in the 2020's, using Bootstrap with responsive images on any device.

UPDATE! I'm adding a navbar to the top of the individual graveyard pages and retiring the fixed left-hand buttons on each page. The navbar will have a dropdown to navigate between the pages of each cemetery.

I've done some research on the Dora Thomas marker in Laurel Hill and added what I could glean from the records for her story.  She died far too young (possibly from the Spanish flu) and left a year old son to be raised by a single father.   I've also added new pictures to her page.

The German Cemetery pages, a new cemetery for me, have been added.  My thanks to Tom P. for sharing his photos.

I've also done some extensive research on Joseph A. Connor, who has one of the bigger mausoleums at Holy Sepulchre.  It's a fascinating story of mangled ethics between greedy clergymen and frantic family members trying to get a piece of his hefty estate.

I've added a page for Grace Connor Moore's story to the Holy Sepulchre site; she is the adopted daughter of the above Joseph A. Connor. Honestly, it reads like a soap opera, and is a tragic case of young people with too much money who carelessly spend their time larking about, hurting others.

Added new pictures to the Laurel Hill site; new gates, new block markers, and other miscellaneous pages.

I've added some information on Clover Adams to the Wasserburger page at Forest Lawn; her world famous memorial may be the inspiration for the Wasserburger statue. As a side note, I've also added a link for Lorado Taft, a sculptor who had a fascinating career.

The Anderson Grove pages have been added to the new site.

New photos added to the Hamilton/Murphy/Cuming page at Holy Sepulchre.

New photos added to the Angels page at Holy Sepulchre.

New photos added to the Views page at Holy Sepulchre.

New photos added to the Prospect Hill Monuments page.

The Beth El and Beth Hamedrosh pages have been added to the site.

The B'nai Abraham pages have been added to the site.

The Bohemian National pages have been added to the site.

The Branson pages have been added to the site.
