The top photo shows the wear and tear on the gateposts over the years by the harsh Nebraska winters and hot summers. It also shows that the trees have taken a beating by the weather, too. I took these pictures in April 2011 and there were several other trees that had been felled by the strong winds.

This photo shows the nice view you get of the south Omaha neighborhood that surrounds the cemetery, and the interstate which is less than 50 feet from the eastern-most boundary of the plots. This is from the topmost point of the cemetery.

The Kennedy extension on I-80 goes right past Laurel Hill; you have a splendid view of the cemetery as it slops upward when you drive past.

This photo shows the road that runs in front of the cemetery, and shows how the retaining wall has shifted over the years.
