As most of you know, Fred Astaire was born here in Omaha. His family had been here for some time, and Laurel Hill holds the graves of his grandparents and one of their children. 

According to one of the ghost tours here in town, Fred Astaire was born in a small house near 2300 South 10th Street here in Omaha, which may have been the Geilus house.

Alexander Geilus, whom I believe was a child of David and Wilhelmina. Someone has put a newer marker on his grave (below), and retained the original marker.
